Carroll Wayne Mosley
Carroll Wayne Mosley, 66, of Clinton, Arkansas, passed away in his home on Saturday, March 2, 2013, after a brief battle with cancer.
His beloved wife of 32 years, Dena (Grimes) Mosley, was at his side.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 8, 2013, at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 2686 Hwy 167 N, Sheridan, AR 72150, with a viewing one hour before. Pastor Larry Duncan will officiate. Burial will immediately follow at Lost Creek Cemetery in Sheridan.

Wayne was born June 23, 1946, in Sheridan to Obie and Vivian (Miller) Mosley. After attending Sheridan High School for three years, he graduated from San Bernardino (Calif.) High School in 1965. Wayne enlisted in the USAF, where he served as crew chief aboard a C-130 aircraft in Vietnam and later at Dyers AFB in Abilene, Texas. He was honorably discharged in 1969 at the rank of sergeant.

Wayne spent his entire civilian career as an aircraft mechanic at Love Field Airport in Dallas, Texas. He was a talented painter and sketch artist, as well as an accomplished trap and skeet shooter.

Wayne and Dena retired in 2005 and moved from The Colony, Texas, to Shirley, Arkansas. They attended Burnt Ridge Community Church and met many new friends and neighbors in the past seven years.

Wayne is survived by his loving wife, Dena; his mother, Vivian Turner of Sherwood, Arkansas; two sons, Bryan Mosley of Evans, Georgia, and Michael Mosley of Flower Mound, Texas; daughter Lisa Mosley of Lewisville, Texas; and seven grandchildren: David, Angelica, Christian, Ava, Owen, Lily and Grant. He is also survived by brothers Bill Mosley of Sherwood, Arkansas, Ray Turner of Little Rock, Arkansas, William Turner of Alexander, Arkansas, and Wilton Turner of Little Rock, Arkansas; and sister Faye Pollock of Miami, Florida.

He was preceded in death by his father, Obie Mosley Jr., in 1954.
