Vista Ridge Mall awards $15,000 in cash prizes in My School's Cool program

At a school spirit rally on May 19, Vista Ridge Mall handed out gold stars -- and $15,000 in cash prizes -- to the top three schools participating in the shopping center's My School's Cool program for the 2011-12 school year.
At the rally, held at Vista Ridge Mall, the following schools were announced as cash prize winners:
* First place, earning $7,500 New Tech High@Coppell in Coppell ISD
* Third place, earning $2,500 Denton Creek Elementary in Coppell, part of Coppell ISD.
"Congratulations to New Tech High, McAuliffe and Denton Creek, our three top point earners in the 2011-12 My School's Cool program, for a job well done. Vista Ridge Mall is pleased to announce that a similar program will be offered for the 2012 -- 2013 school year. Details are still being determined, however, applications will be available soon on our website at www.vistaridgemall.com. All applications must be signed by the school principal in order to be valid. Be sure to check the website periodically for announcements regarding the new and improved program," says Leanne Lowry, general manager for the shopping center.
Throughout the school year, students, teachers, family members and friends have been turning sales receipts from shopping center stores into points in the hopes of their school earning a share of the cash prizes from Vista Ridge Mall. Schools that are enrolled in the 2011-12 program include Creek Valley Middle School in Carrollton, Degan Elementary School in Lewisville, Denton Creek Elementary School in Coppell, Lewisville Elementary School in Lewisville, Lillie J. Jackson Early Childhood Learning Center in Lewisville, New Tech High@Coppell in Coppell, McAuliffe Elementary School in Highland Village, Pinkerton Elementary School in Coppell, Valley Ranch Elementary School in Porter and Vickery Elementary School in Flower Mound.
Public and private schools in the Lewisville or Coppell school districts that are interested in information about participating in the 2012-13 program should visit www.vistaridgemall.com/programs for details or contact Saundra David at saundra.david@rouseproperties.com or 972-315-0015 ext.17.
A preliminary list of guidelines and school eligibility requirements will be outlined by Vista Ridge Mall in the program overview which will be available at www.vistaridgemall.com/programs or in the Vista Ridge Mall Management Office.
