Bid at perfection

The Wakeland baseball team is aiming for a perfect district season tonight when the Wolverines take on Carrollton R.L. Turner in a 7:30 p.m. contest.

Wakeland has gone unbeaten in 13 games against District 9-4A counterparts, including a 1-0 win over Liberty last Friday.

If the Wolverines earn a win tonight, they will join the Wakeland softball team in the school’s district dominance, as the Lady Wolverines recently finished 9-4A play with a 14-0 mark.

Lobos change districts

The University Interscholastic League released the 2012-13 district alignments for soccer recently.

The Lobos and Lady Lobos move from District 17-4A, which featured McKinney, McKinney North, Sherman, Denison, Anna and Prosper.
