Lewisville’s tough time at the Frisco ISD Tournament continued Saturday as the Farmers lost three games. The Farmers had previously lost two of its first three games in the tournament on Thursday and Friday.
Lewisville lost its first game Saturday against Denton Guyer, 9-0. Krysta O’Neal started in the circle and took the loss. The Farmers were outhit, 10-2. Ashley Reyes and Valerie Anzaldua had hits for the Farmers.
Frisco Wakeland handed the Farmers their second loss of the day. Wakeland outhit Lewisville — who had hits by Maleia Newland and Amanda Scott — 11-2, on their way to a 10-0 win.
“Last season, we didn’t have a very good tournament out there either,” said Lewisville coach Lori Alexander. “So, hopefully we can bounce back again. We just need to keep our heads up and move on.”
Lewisville continues at 6:45 p.m. Tuesday in a non-district game against Fort Worth Trimble Tech.
