Lewisville Estates has on-site home health, personal services

Lewisville Estates is the only senior living facility in Lewisville which offers on-site home health and personal assistance services.
A reception took place Thursday evening at the facility to welcome Advanced Rehab Trust Home Health and Senior Helpers, two organizations which now have personnel on site daily in the building which provides all-inclusive apartment living and services for senior citizens.
Advanced Rehab Trust, which is based in Denton, provides nursing, home health aide, social work and various kinds of therapy. Medicare pays for the cost of its services.
Both organizations now have offices at Lewisville Estates. Advanced Rehab Trust has nurses on duty and Senior Helpers has certified nursing assistants (CNAs) on duty 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at Lewisville Estates, and at other times when needed.
Services offered at Lewisville Estates are only for the residents of the facility. However, services are offered by both groups in private homes or other senior facilities. Those services are available by calling their headquarters.
Ron Tester, owner of Rehab Trust who is a physical therapist, said, “We treat our patients like family. You deserve the same respect and care we would give our own mothers, fathers, sisters and brothers, and at Advanced Rehab Trust, that’s what we deliver.”
Chris Martin, a resident at Lewisville Estates, is thrilled with the services provided by Senior Helpers. Carolyn Zmolik, the primary on-site CNA at Lewisville Estates, checks with her at least twice a day.
“I love Carolyn,” the senior resident said. “She brings me breakfast and helps me with my medicine. Then she comes back at noon to remind me to take medicine again.”
Patrick Shanahan, owner of senior helpers, said, “Medication reminding is a very important service that we offer. Many senior citizens have difficulty remembering what to take when. Also, they sometimes need assistance in taking their medicine.”
